Completed in 2020, NEXTDC S2 provides its customers with 30MW of critical power capacity and was Sydney's first facility to be certified as Tier IV fault tolerant. Engineered with the future in mind, NEXTDC S2 has been developed with plenty of capacity for the future to support high density workloads. The complexity of this project introduced a range of challenges including the requirement for a fast-tracked delivery of the first Data Hall whilst the remainder of the upper levels of concrete structure were still being poured.
Zancon worked closely with the client, client's project manager and the Contractor to monitor progress, provide graphical dashboard reporting, weekly updated forecasting, evaluation of the time/benefit of temporary works and contract/programme advisory to the client's project manager.
NEXTDC achieved the operation of first Data Hall ahead of the rest of the structure to satisfy their customer's operational requirements.
